An Introduction to Alpine climbing.
Ride some of the most spectacular cols & mountain roads with our supported cycling holiday.

When: 2nd-10th September 2026
Recommended Fitness Level: This is suited to cyclists who regularly cycle 60 plus miles or those who do less cycling but have high stamina and aerobic fitness from sports such as running and swimming.
Ride Pace: This is not a training camp, the emphasis is on enjoyment and the appreciation of the wonderful landscape and scenery. At a minimum we would expect riders to be able to average 12mph over hilly terrain. If you have any doubts on your ability please contact us to discuss.
Groups: Places are strictly limited. You will be riding as part of a group, maximum group size is 12 people.
Age Restrictions: No children under 16 years of age. Children 16-18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What’s Included
8 nights bed & breakfast accommodation.
Bike box & luggage transfers from Geneva to Geneva.
7 days riding on stunning picturesque mountain roads.
Cycle support: An experienced member of our team will ride with you & our van & driver a qualified mechanic* will shadow you throughout the day & be on hand to help with mechanical issues.
* Our mechanic will have spares such as chains, cables, tyres, brake pads and be on hand to assist with bike building on arrival and mechanicals when on the road. Any spares used will need to be paid for by the rider.
What’s Not Included
Flights.
Bikes. Please bring your own. Contact us for help if unsure about travelling with your bike. Also see here for bike box rentals & videos on how to pack bikes.
Travel Insurance (compulsory)
Lunch. You will need day money for a mix of cafe stops and bakeries for picnics.
Energy drinks and gels.
Normal extras outside of bed & breakfast accommodation such as, drinks & Dinner, there is a good selection of restaurants to suit every budget or eat in the hotel.

Our itinerary provides maximum variety, mixing the challenge of iconic, famous cols with the peaceful beauty of lesser-known back-road climbs. Including; Col de Tamié, Col de la Madeleine, Lacets de Montvernier, Col du Telegraphe, Col du Galibier, Alpe d’Huez, Chamrousse, Mont Revard, Col de Leschaux, & Col du Collet,

- Day 1: Arrive Geneva.
- Day 2: Geneva to Albertville 100km/1480m – 62mile/4850ft
- Day 3: Albertville to Saint John d’Maurienne 84km/2536m – 52mile/8320ft
- Day 4: Saint John d’Maurienne to Le Bourg-dʼOisans 97km/2665m – 60mile/8745ft
- Day 5: Le Bourg-dʼOisans to Le Bourg-dʼOisans 72km/2210m – 45mile/7250ft
- Day 6: Le Bourg-dʼOisans to Allevard 106km/2059m – 66mile/6754ft
- Day 7: Allevard to Annecy 106km/2141m – 66mile/7022ft
- Day 8: Annecy to Geneva 94km/1601m – 58mile/5252ft
- Day 9: Depart Geneva.
The vast majority of the riding is on roads with low levels of traffic where you will cycle for many miles in spectacular scenery without seeing any vehicles. There will also be sections where traffic may be busy such as on main roads which are used to link up the routes, these though are kept to a minimum.

A deposit of £350.00 per person is required to confirm booking.
Balance of payment to be paid by 4th June 2026, 90 days prior to the first day of your holiday
